Recycling Away From Home
In addition to working with community groups, schools and businesses, the Central Murray RWMG also works with its Member Council and venue managers to encourage them to incorporate public place recycling infrastructure in high tourist / visitor locations to capture as much recyclable material as possible.
Special event recycling bin caps are available for use at local events, and assistance is available from the Group's Regional Education Officer to identify ways to reduce, reuse and recycle waste materials.
Waste Wise Venues
 Swan Hill Jockey Club has launched its new public place recycling program "Recycle Right at the Races" with 40 new rubbish and recycling bins introduced at the site. To view the final report for this project click here.
Loddon Shire Council has public place recycling program at 5 swimming pools in Wedderburn, Boort, Inglewood, Pyramid Hill Mitamo.
North Central Football league - 7 clubs in the North Central Football League have public place recycling bins.
Central Murray Guide to Greening Your Event
A new Guide has been developed to help event organsiers make their event more sustainable. The Guide contains information on waste management systems, but also where to purchase catering supplies that are environmentally friendly. If you would like a copy of the guide, please send us an email.
Wise Events Trailer - Loddon Shire
 The Group has commissioned a new trailer to assist local community groups to implement resource recovery (recycling) and litter prevention program at their events.
The trailer can be booked by contacting the Loddon Shire Council on 5494 1200. You will receive a booking form and conditions of use form which must be submitted to the Council 14 days before the event.

Waste Wise Events Bins & Caps - Buloke Shire
As part of a joint initiative with the Donald Neighborhood Environment Improvement Plan and the Buloke Shire Council, new event rubbish and recycling bins and caps are now available for event organisers to utilise. To book the bins and caps, please contact the Donald Office of the Buloke Shire Council 5497 1300.
